Fast Ethernet: 100BaseT

To accommodate bandwidth- intensive applications and network expansion, the Fast Ethernet Alliance promoted 100 Mbps technology. This alliance consists of 3Com Corporation, DAVID Systems, Digital Equipment Corporation, Grand Junction Networks, Inc., Intel Corporation, National Semiconductor, SUN Microsystems, and Synoptics Communications.
